What We Do

Video chat sites look alike from the outside: a start button, a camera preview and a promise of instant matches. The differences that matter sit underneath, in the pricing, the moderation, the rules on recording and data, and how much a site wants to know about you before you talk to anyone.

We open each platform the way a new user would, on a computer and on a phone, and write down what we find. Then we read its Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and app store listings, so that every fact in a review can be traced back to a source.

How We Score Platforms

Every platform gets a score out of 10 in six criteria. The overall score is the average of the six, rounded to one decimal.

Features: What you can do on a call and around it: filters, controls such as skip, report and block, and any extras.
Pricing: What is free, what costs money, how billing works and whether there is a subscription to cancel.
Matching: How quickly you meet someone, whether they are real people and how much say you have in who you meet.
Moderation: Real-user checks, reporting, how a platform responds to abuse and which age rules it enforces.
Privacy & Security: Encryption, recording, what data is collected and where it is processed, and how to delete an account.
Platform Quality: Web and app availability, store ratings, stability and how well the platform works on a phone.

We revisit a score when a platform changes something that affects one of these criteria. Every review shows the date it was last updated.

Our Editorial Standards

Sources first: Facts about pricing, data and rules come from the platform’s own documents. When a claim comes only from the platform itself, the review says so.
No invented numbers: We do not publish user counts, ratings or reviews that we cannot point to.
Corrections: If something in a review is wrong or out of date, tell us through the contact form below. We check it and update the page.
